Summer events in Milan: Latinoamericando Expo

Three months of passion, music, culture and gastronomic specialties, these are the main ingredients of Latinoamericando Expo, a Latin American festival held in Milan at Forum di Assago. From June until mid-August dozens of singers, performers, artists and bands will show off during the scheduled concerts, events and appointments. All this spiced up with paths of perfumes and tastes from about twenty restaurants, chiringuitos and tropical bar where to enjoy the real taste of Latin American cuisine.

Latinoamericando Expo agenda is really dense. Each night a singer or a band is invited onstage to propose its own kind of music, always different and extremely captivating, from Cuban-style salsa to Colombian folk, from latin electro to bachata, from raggaeton to rap, just to mention some, because the mix proposed during the summer is always unique and explosive.

Among Top Events that take place at Latinoamericando, on August 10th onstage at Mediolanum Forum there will be Juan Manuel Magán González (Juan Magan), Spanish singer and Dj, who won 2 awards with its single “Summer Blue” and collaborated with Shakira, Pitbull, Don Omar, Paulina Rubio and Belinda.

Concerts will alternate with shows, in an area called “Vivi il Villaggio” with the participation of traditional dance groups that will directly involve the audience in a festive atmosphere, with dance and music. For example on July 29th, it will be possible to participate in the show “Así es mi Peru”, with Los Nazcas, Perù Maykamapas, Sambos Caporales de Corazòn and others Peruvian dance groups.

During the days of Latinoamericondo Expo, will be celebrated the National Day of Latin American countries, with ad hoc events and official ceremonies, with the participation of Latin American Consuls General and representatives of the local institutions. During National days, people of each country will enter at Latinoamericando and concerts at discounted prices.

Last but not least, many appointments with gastronomy and traditional Latin American cuisine. Inside Latinoamericando Expo pavilions there are paths dedicated to Central and South America flavours, a truly unique, tasty and spicy experience. Tasting points and restaurants will offer the best of Latin American cuisine, born from the meet of pre-Columbian civilizations with the European and African ones. From this mix developed a fine cuisine, based on apparently simply plates, with ingredients such as frijoles, corn and cassava as side dishes of meat, fish and shellfish. There are five main restaurants, but in the corners of the village stand proposing snacks, tastings and of course empanadas, bocadillos, tapas and sweet passion fruit mousse are found too.

Until August 13th at Latinoamericando Expo, tickets from 10 to 15 Euros, special event nights not included.
